My career in bookkeeping began when I started managing my husband’s bookkeeping on Excel spreadsheets back in the day. I was complimented by his accountant and this then inspired me to go to college and study bookkeeping. I am now an AAT qualified Licensed bookkeeper and still studying in order to keep developing my knowledge and services I can provide. I have extensive experience in Sage 50 accounts and Xero. After raising my family and starting my first bookkeeping role in the Care Sector, I soon found further strengths and progressed in the company to a Senior Manager where I helped to develop and implement the finance and administration function, including the implementation of GDPR. Due to a move to the beautiful village of Bures I had to take my skills elsewhere I joined a construction company where I introduced a HR function as well as taking the CIS in house.

I've now created Bookkeeping Certainty and VA Support to help start-ups, sole traders, and SME business to access the skills I have obtained all in one place. I can be that one person to call on when you need help - if it’s not in my realm of expertise I will endeavor to source it for you!
