I’m Sam. I have spent the last 15+ years working in a variety of administrative and project support roles, mainly within the construction industry, with an emphasis on document control, office organisation and customer service. . I worked with both the large corporate firms and the smaller family run companies.

Working for smaller companies and individuals can mean your role is wide and varied, often needing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and muck in where needed. No two days are ever really the same and that’s just how I like it.

I have been considering Virtual Assistant as a career path for the last 10 years, but I have never really been brave enough to take that leap. That changed after being made redundant for the second time on my maternity leave. The thought of trying to find a job that would fit around school runs, not cost me a fortune in childcare or be flexible enough for our needs was just too much. That was it. I decided to find my courage and here we are.

I am also an active member of Girlguiding. I am the leader of a Rainbow unit, Growing Guiding/Membership Coordinator for the local area and a leadership qualification mentor. I also manage the Division Facebook page promoting what we are doing as a division and for recruiting adult volunteers and girls.
